27. “MONOGRAPHY TOMOV”
The seventh monograph work “Monographia Tomov” (207), was published by “Makedonska Iskra” from Skopje, on 320 pages, in Macedonian and English. Reviewers of this important work are the faculty professor Dr. Vera Stojčevska-Antić and one of the permanent members of the ensemble “Tomov”, Dr. Kristina Kalas, who was the editor of the English text.
Monograph “Tomov” by Slave Katin is a mirror for the famous and recognized folklorist, ethnologist, choreographer, sculptor, or as they often call him the ambassador of Macedonian culture, traditions and the truth about Macedonia and the Macedonian people – Gjorgji (George) Tomov. This significant and in many ways the only bilingual monograph of this kind is a review of the character and work of George and the truth about his American ensemble “Tomov” from New York.

George (George) Tomov was a living legend of Macedonian dances and songs, for whom on May 17, 2007, in the premises of the House of the Army of the Republic of Macedonia (ARM), a promotion of the monograph “Tomov”, the ambassador of Macedonian and Balkan folklore in the diaspora was held.
Before the large auditorium in the House of the ARM, among which were the head of the MOC Archbishop Stefan, Metropolitan Kiril, former president Kiro Gligorov and many other famous figures from the public, cultural and political life in Macedonia. the book was presented by the reviewer Prof. Vera Stojchevska-Antić, the former president of the Registry of Emigrants from Macedonia Prof. Dr. Dimitar Keramičiev and the director of the national ensemble “Tanec” MA Boško Treneski. In addition, the extraordinary and unforgettable performance of the male group of dancers of “Tanec” with the ancient dance “Teshkoto” was received by the attendees with excitement and delight.
The thirty-fourth “Ljubanski Ilindenski Emigrant Meetings” in 2007 are worth noting, when in front of the cultural heritage of Ljubljana “Vodenicata”, and in front of the large number of visitors to the meetings, a promotion of the monograph “Gjorgji – George Tomov” from New York was held. His friend – Prof. Dr. Vera Stojchevska – Antic spoke about the work dedicated to the ambassador of Macedonian culture George Tomov from New York. Otherwise, the ensemble “Tomov” whose members were exclusively Americans who learned to dance and sing Macedonian dances and songs, during the tour of the Balkans in 1985 had a significant and first performance of a company from the Macedonian emigrant community at the Ljubanski Sredbi.
Also on 22.08.2018, the Literary Meeting in the “Prlichev Room” of the Grigor Prlichev National Library in Ohrid. At the meeting, journalist Sveto Stefanoski presented part of the content of the monograph “Tomov”.
Otherwise, about seventy (70) sequels to the work “Gjorgji – George Tomov” have been published in the portals “Macedonian Nation”, “Macedonian Sun” and Matica na iselenici do Makedonija, “Macedonian Word” from Detroit and “Maktel” and “Politekon” from Sydney and “Macedonia” from Toronto, as well as in other media outlets in Macedonia. Again, in the portal “Macedonian Nation”, in 2020 and 2021, twenty-four (24) sequels were published, and a larger number were also published in “Macedonian Sun”.
Also, during 2023, twenty-one (21) sequels to the work “Tomov” were published in the portal “Maktel” from Sydney, Australia. The same twenty-one (21) sequels were also published in the portal “Make-onsko sonce”, Skopje. In the portal “Macedonian Nation”, in 2023 and 2024, forty (40) sequels to the publication “Monograph George Tomov” were published in the column “Iselenici”, and a larger number of sequels were also published in “Macedonian Sun”.
28. “FROM PANONIA TO THE AEGEAN”
The work “From Pannonia to the Aegean” (2007) “Macedonian Spark”, Skopje, for 196 foreigners, in Macedonian by Antonije Shkokljev-Doncho and Slave. Nikolovski-Katin, was written with the desire to offer a scientific view, a systematized contribution to these European spaces from prehistoric times, which might be a challenge to a certain phenomenon of scientists, primarily historians and linguists, for a non-conformist analysis of prehistory based on new sources of information. The introduction to this publication states that self-awareness and creativity are basic characteristics of both the individual and the human race as a whole. The most significant innovations of people, as the basis for the formation of the history of humanity, are language, writing, ideology, science and technology.
In this process, in the different prehistoric periods and over time, from the sea of ideas, knowledge and experiences accumulated, various techniques, artistic achievements, myths, religions, letters, ideologies, sciences and technologies from different fields emerged and became independent.
Otherwise, from antiquity to the present day, the study of the Paleo-Balkan and Aegean populations has occupied an important place in the research of archaeologists, historians, linguists and other scientific activities. History (a story about the known, the explored), as a science, studies the development of human society. Its beginnings archetypically appear with the first literacy.
The most significant feature of the human race is consciousness (individual and collective) which has universal significance in all spiritual activities. Therefore, the phenomenon of consciousness is one of the oldest problems and a central topic of debates from the very beginning of philosophical thoughts in the East and the West, which to this day is treated through various mythological, mystical and philosophical systems.
The first scientific attempt to explain the phenomenon of consciousness (as the most complex brain function) was given by the United Nations, where the last decade of the 20th century is marked as the decade of research on the brain and consciousness.
This work is dedicated to the Balkans, that is, to the question of whether the separate political entities have an exclusive right to a monopoly over historical heritage, that is, whether today’s young generations, born and raised in the most politically conflicted parts, have grown up and been brought up with the conviction that they do not have enough knowledge about the historical facts about the Balkans.
The publication was written with the desire to offer a scientific view, a systematized contribution to these European spaces from prehistoric times, which might be a challenge to a certain manifestation of scientists, primarily historians and linguists, for a non-conformist analysis of prehistory based on new and fair sources of information.
