The Macedonian men's cadet national team won ninth place at the European U19 Handball Championship in Belgrade.
The young Macedonian handball players convincingly defeated the Israeli team in the last match in Belgrade with a score of 39-29.
The opponent had several goals in the first half and led by a few goals, and went into the break with a minimal 19-20. The Macedonian cadets played a perfect second half. With a solid defense and a furious attack in the second half, our hopes quickly made a complete turnaround on the field.
The most efficient players in the Macedonian camp were Gorazd Damchevski and Hristijan Vujicevski, and Stefan Gjorgievski also made an excellent contribution. This triumph brought a repeat of the high ranking and ensured direct participation in the upcoming World Cadet Championship.
Coach Goran Kuzmanoski's team, who played against the strong teams of Slovenia, France and Sweden in the first group stage, after three defeats, achieved an impressive series of five victories in the following period.
With this, the Macedonian cadets won a new participation in the elite competition of the European Championship, but also secured a place in the World Championship.
