More than ten people have been summoned to the Ministry of Interior for questioning regarding the case of messages that the water in Skopje is polluted, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said today, assessing that this is an attempt to instill unrest and uncertainty among citizens as a hybrid attack.
Mickoski said that these are centers that are creating hysteria on social networks, accusing opposition parties of being behind them.
"I hope that with the new amendments to the Criminal Code there will be a penal provision for such individuals who consciously create hysteria, that is, carry out a kind of hybrid attack, create a sense of unrest, a sense of fear among citizens. However, what particularly worries me is that I think there are other, more commercial attempts here because in one day, suddenly, a large part of the markets emptied their reserves and quantities of packaged water," said Mickoski.
When asked by a journalist whether they had submitted the information about the hybrid attack to the Prosecutor's Office and whether they knew which opposition parties were behind it, Mickoski said that the investigation was within the framework of the Ministry of Interior.
"The individuals have been summoned and from here on I would refer you to the Ministry of Interior for all the details," Mickoski replied.
Regarding the accusations of the opposition SDSM that Mickoski and Health Minister Sasho Klekovski are to blame for the pollution of drinking water in Gostivar, Mickoski said that the mayor of the Municipality of Gostivar is a cadre who was supported by SDSM in the last elections.
"That's why you won't hear from SDSM - responsibility from the mayor because he is their staff, but you will hear that they are demanding responsibility from where that responsibility does not exist, but, on the contrary, from the Government, we have done everything we could to normalize the situation," says the Prime Minister.
He added that after the water supply system in Gostivar was fully stabilized, and citizens received safe drinking water, the responsibility for water supply lies entirely with the PE "Komunalec"-Gostivar, which provides water supply services.
The Prime Minister today attended the opening of a new sports hall at the Krume Kepeski Primary School in the Municipality of Kisela Voda.
