When you want a richer flavor, prepare sutliash in the oven. You'll get a nice contrast between the roasted surface and the tender middle. Serve it lukewarm or well-chilled with a fruit dressing that will refresh every bite.
Required:
- 200 goriz
- 1 liters of milk
- 120 g sugar
- 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
- 2 eggs
- 40 g butter
- 100 ml sweet sour cream
- 250 g of raspberries
- 40 g sugar for topping
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Preparation: Cook the rice in the milk over low heat, stirring occasionally, until it is soft and has absorbed most of the liquid. Add the sugar, vanilla sugar and butter, mix and leave the mixture to cool. Add the beaten eggs and sour cream and spread the mixture in ovenproof dishes. Bake for about 25 minutes at 190 degrees until the surface is golden brown. In the meantime, briefly cook the raspberries with the sugar and lemon juice until the fruit breaks down and the sauce thickens slightly. Serve the baked sutlijash with a warm or cooled raspberry topping.
