The Left demands the publication of all documents on the celebration of 35 years of independence

Date:

After stubbornly hiding every piece of information about the independence anniversary celebration from the public, the more the government tries to patch up the story of the celebration, the more inconsistencies, illogicalities, and holes that cannot be covered up are emerging, Levica said in a statement today.

"The deadline for submitting bids expired on Friday, May 8 at 12:00, only one bid of about a hundred pages was received, and already on Tuesday, May 12, the Government and "Avalon" announced the program and David Guetta in front of the cameras. In a few calendar days, two of which were weekends, the documentation was to be opened, its completeness checked, a substantive evaluation performed, production and financial justification assessed, a report prepared, the necessary decisions made and the selected entity prepared for an official government presentation.

There is a direct contradiction in and around the commission itself. The public call clearly states that it conducts the procedure, performs evaluation, prepares a report with a proposal for the selection of the most favorable bidder and evaluates a whole range of criteria, quality and innovation of the concept, production value, expected public interest, technical and logistical readiness, financial justification and transparency. Today, however, its president Nikolche Micevski claims that the commission practically served only to determine whether the documents were complete and submitted on time… A body that, according to the official call, was supposed to evaluate a five million euro project cannot, after inconvenient questions arise, turn into a counter. And if Micevski's claim is correct, then who carried out the essential evaluation envisaged by the call, and if the call is right, then why is its president today reducing his own role to a counter worker? ", states the statement of Levica.

In Levica, they state that "the role of Micevski also casts a fog over the entire procedure."

"The man who chaired the committee that reviewed the only offer later appears as the author of the arrangements in the concert with Jose Carreras, while Boban Miloseski publicly states that he and his "friend and long-time collaborator Nikolce Micevski discussed that project for two years." On the other hand, Micevski claims that at the time he headed the committee he did not know that he would later be engaged in the program. The question arises whether the project with Carreras was already contained in the offer he was considering, when exactly the talks about his engagement began, when it was agreed, by whom and under what conditions, as well as whether he gave a formal statement before participating in the committee that there was no conflict of interest. The sequence of events must be proven with documents," insists Levica.

They emphasize that it is not enough to repeat that there was a public call, as if the mere existence of an advertisement automatically produces competition.

"One bid was received in the procedure, and the most favorable bidder only makes sense if the public can see exactly what that favorability was based on. Therefore, we demand that the full report of the commission, the minutes of its work, the individual scores, if any, the explanation for each criterion, the selection decision, the date of notification of the selected implementer and the entire timeline from the submission of the bid to the official announcement by David Guetta be published. Only in this way will it be possible to determine whether there was really an evaluation or just a bureaucratic path to an already prepared outcome.

Hence, DPMNE, reducing the people to idiots, in a country where everything is late, issuing the most ordinary documents takes days and weeks, asks us to trust its bureaucratic expediency. The call closes on Friday, two non-working days follow, and on Tuesday we already have a selected implementer, a world star and a government presentation, the chairman of the commission describes his own task, contrary to what is written in the call, and then he himself becomes part of the program for which his commission acted.
"If all of this was spotlessly clean, then there is no reason for the documents to remain behind closed doors. But it clearly was not, considering that the very delayed opening of the maps was forced by enormous pressure from the public and the media," the Left's statement reads.
