Oil prices rose above $108 a barrel today after a series of drone attacks forced Saudi Arabia to shut down its East-West pipeline.
Brent, the international benchmark, rose to $108,03 a barrel, an increase of 3,25 percent.
The price increase followed several attacks by Yemen's Houthis on Saudi Arabia and the capture of Perim Island in the Bab el-Mandab Strait, expanding control over that waterway.
Stock market gas prices in Europe accelerated growth and increased by five percent, exceeding $1.000 per thousand cubic meters for the first time since December 22, 2022, according to data from the London ICE Stock Exchange.
Futures for October, according to the TTF index, the largest European gas hub located in the Netherlands, reached a level of $978,9 per thousand cubic meters, representing a growth of 2,6 percent.
