His body is expected to return to Britain within 48 hours, and all the paperwork has been completed, writes the Argentine daily newspaper "La Nacion".
Liam Payne died after falling from a third-floor balcony at a hotel in Buenos Aires last month.
The autopsy of the body after his death determined that the cause of death of the 31-year-old was the 25 injuries sustained during his fall.
By Wednesday at the latest, Liam's body should be in Great Britain, and the funeral should take place in the Cathedral of St. Pavle in Wolverhampton, "The Sun" reports.
Liam's body was temporarily placed in a British cemetery in Buenos Aires for two days after his death, while local authorities conducted an investigation into the circumstances of his fall. This cemetery was established by the British community in Argentina in the 19th century to provide a burial place for their members.
