An exhibition of paintings titled "Macedonian girl" made in oil technique by Rade Najdovski has been opened at the Culture Center in Bitola.
The paintings are inspired by folk costumes from different regions of the country, that is, by the costumes of Mijats from Galicnik, Krushevo and Smilevo, costumes from Bitolsko Pole, Debarski Drimkol and others.
- Najdovski's creative oeuvre is long-lasting and although it is primarily dedicated to icon painting and fresco painting, it is also diverse. As an influence of his creative work, the characters of women, girls in folk costumes, to some extent, remind of the iconographic representations he works and give the impression of dignity, pride and grace. Through his art, Najdovski masterfully conveys the full meaning and beauty of the folk tradition, presenting it with liveliness, points out Nade Genevska Bračić, curator at the Institute and Museum-Bitola.
