RK Vardar is officially back on top of Macedonian handball. The "Red and Blacks" won the 16th championship title in their history, returning to the throne after three years.
The coronation took place today after the conclusion of the final playoff match against Butel Skopje.
This season, Vardar players showed champion character, quality and a winning mentality, and the crowning glory of all their performances was the return of the title to their showcases. The team played a confident and dominant season, confirming that it is once again the main force in domestic handball.
There were not many fans at the trophy presentation because this moment was celebrated after the derby against Pelister. Fans came in a more modest number.
With this title, Vardar once again confirmed its rich tradition and status as one of the greatest sports teams in Macedonia.
The "Red and Blacks" end the season with a double trophy, in the domestic championship and in the Macedonian Cup.
