US President Donald Trump said Iran has already accepted many of the conditions of his 15-point ceasefire plan, prepared several weeks ago.
"The United States will be working closely with Iran, which we have determined has undergone what will be a very productive regime change! There will be no uranium enrichment, and the United States, in cooperation with Iran, will dig up and remove all deeply buried nuclear waste," Trump announced on his Twitter account, Truth Social.
In another announcement, he announced increased tariffs of 50 percent for any country that supplies Iran with weapons.
"Any country that supplies weapons to Iran will immediately face a 50 percent tariff on all goods it sells to the United States, effective immediately. There will be no exceptions or waivers!" Trump said.
Meanwhile, Israeli Channel 12 television reported the US plan, which was handed over to Iran via Pakistan two weeks ago. Citing three unnamed sources, the television said the plan resembles the one the US is implementing in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
The US plan for Iran is:
1. Iran to dismantle its nuclear facilities;
2. Iran to commit not to develop nuclear weapons;
3. Iran not to further enrich nuclear material;
4. All enriched material to be handed over according to a schedule established by the US, Israel and Iran;
5. The nuclear facilities in Natanz, Isfahan and Fordow should be closed;
6. The International Atomic Energy Agency should have access to all information about the Iranian program;
7. Iran to abandon the model of acting through proxy groups;
8. Iran to stop funding and arming proxy groups in the region;
9. The Strait of Hormuz to remain open as a free maritime zone;
10. Iran to limit the number and range of its missiles;
11. The continued use of missiles would be permitted solely for self-defense;
12. All sanctions against Iran would be lifted;
13. Iran would receive assistance in developing a civilian nuclear program at the Bushehr nuclear power plant;
14. The threat of reimposing sanctions would be lifted;
15. The US and Israel would help Iran develop a civilian nuclear program at Bushehr for electricity generation.
