-The fact that we have a dispute with the Patriarchate of Constantinople over the name and what we have to say about the state is its fault, the merit of the POA. They did not have an "M" anywhere in that entire para-church so-called organization POA, that is why they were accepted in all churches and served. Because the name had to be changed, first of all if the church changes its name, it is easy for the state to change it. The state changed its name, changed the flag, we changed everything and now we are "Northern" and so on and we have remained a unique institution as and what is called the Macedonian Orthodox Church, although from a dogmatic point of view it is not an institution, it is a divine community, we just remain firm and will remain until the end that we will not give up the name Macedonia, Macedonian Orthodox Church, Macedonian nation and everything that is Macedonian uniqueness. This is the whole problem, Bishop Petar testified in NATKAST with Ljupčo Cvetanovski.
-Everyone recognized, including the Patriarchate of Constantinople, that it was precisely because we endured all these trials, all the humiliations to the utmost limits and, finally, remained what we are, that we received autocephaly from the Serbian Orthodox Church with the constitutional name and from the Russian Orthodox Church and from all other Orthodox churches that recognized us as a canonical church, including the Patriarchate of Constantinople, which gave us such an act that we are canonical. And we have nothing more to discuss, pointed out the Metropolitan of Prespa and Pelagonia.
-The issue of our autocephaly, I have always said, and I confirm, was exclusively political, not canonical, ecclesiastical. It turned out that we would have received autocephaly from the Patriarchate of Constantinople if we had asked for it a long time ago, even after the Second World War when we gained bishops if we had given up the name Macedonian Orthodox Church. A Serbian bishop was even criticized for changing his stance on our church. His response to the Greek bishops was that all 10 points and conditions were met and that is why we were granted autocephaly on the one hand, and on the other hand why we have not been given a tomos by the Patriarchate of Constantinople is exclusively the question "Why don't we give up the name Macedonia, Macedonian Orthodox Church, Macedonian people and Macedonian nation and everything that is Macedonian distinctiveness." That should be known and in that context it should be known that in that context it can be said that the POA did something and that we exhausted it and all those pressures from all churches, especially the Serbian church at the time when Bishop Jovan was convincing them that we as a church are practically not a Macedonian church, we are not Macedonians, we are not a Macedonian nation and we have nothing Macedonian and that only in this way can we obtain autocephaly and that only in this way can we obtain a sovereign state with a change of name, as happened with the change of the flag and with the change of the name of the state with that addition that we put. In that context, it should be known that - here, it was possible without that, to obtain autocephaly, and that from those from whom it was least expected, who were too deceived by Jovan, I am talking about the Serbian Orthodox Church and other local churches, that there is no other solution than to give up the name, the Macedonian Orthodox Church, the state, the flag and everything Macedonian, concluded Bishop Petar in the podcast with Ljupčo Cvetanovski.
