A Bulgarian beat a Bulgarian in an attempt. New light on the case of the attack on Hristijan Pendikov from Ohrid. The member of parliament from the Bulgarian party "Continuing with the changes" and former minister of innovation, in a television interview, says about the beaten secretary of the "Tsar Boris the Third" club that he is not a Bulgarian citizen. While one of the attackers, E.

  • "The gentleman who was attacked in Macedonia is not a Bulgarian citizen. Bulgaria should protect its citizens. He is a Macedonian citizen who describes himself as a person with Bulgarian self-awareness. However, one of those who attacked him is a Bulgarian citizen. Why don't we talk about him? Because he has Bulgarian citizenship." - said the Bulgarian MP.

Laurer says these facts are being hidden from the public. He believes that the Macedonian authorities were in a hurry and asked to leave room for the Macedonian institutions to determine whether it is a question of hatred or not.

After his interview, the social networks in Bulgaria were buzzing. Many label him, saying that he was a Jew and therefore worked against the interests of Bulgaria. His statements were also announced by the local SDS party, the coalition partner of Boyko Borisov, from where they say that Laurer's words were a strong slap for the Bulgarians in Macedonia.

  • "One gets the feeling that for him our relations with Macedonia are abstract and institutional. How people with Bulgarian self-awareness live and deal with the hatred against them is clearly not in the paradigm of the former Minister of Innovation." - He writes from the statement of the Bulgarian political party "Union of Democratic Forces".

The Bulgarian MP adds that the fight in Ohrid was too politicized in Bulgaria. He believes that tensions must be reduced in order to leave space for diplomacy to work.

According to the now retired Bulgarian ambassador in Skopje, Angel Angelov, Pendikov from Ohrid applied for a Bulgarian passport a little less than two months ago. It is noteworthy that this happened exactly in the same month when the police found drugs in his possession. He is currently still in Sofia.
