The Department of Internal Affairs Skopje will file a criminal complaint with the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office Skopje today against seven people who are suspected of being part of a network of street drug dealers.
As informed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) within the framework of a criminal investigation that was carried out since December last year, during the past day and night in the area of Skopje, measures and activities were undertaken with the aim of suppressing the street sale of cocaine, amphetamine and marijuana . At the same time, the Ministry of Internal Affairs adds, during the criminal investigation, 28 people were deprived of their liberty.
Last night, the Ministry of the Interior says that V.G. (46), MV. (22) and SB. (21) were detained and cocaine was found in them. D.T. (24) from Kochan, as well as S.V. (28) from Skopje, were deprived of their liberty after large sums of money were found on them during a search, which is suspected to have come from the sale of narcotic drugs.
In addition to this, the Ministry of the Interior says that searches were carried out at seven locations in Skopje, where the 41-year-old Skopje resident G.Š. Marijuana, scales and other items related to the crime were found, in BP (34) were found remains of cocaine and other items, and in AP (29) the police found a bullet and a bomb lighter.
"A.B.J. was also deprived of his liberty, due to suspicion of destruction of evidence, as well as M.D. (37) from Skopje, who was found with cocaine. During a search of F.D. (41) from Skopje, a large amount of money, marijuana, ID cards and passports of several people were found as collateral for the purchase and sale of drugs, and when measures were taken to deprive him of his freedom, he did not stop at the issued order to stop, during which he damaged three official vehicles, committing the crime of 'obstructing an official in the performance of an official act' and a warrant was issued for him to find and arrest him", added today's police statement.
The police say that, in addition to the 28 arrested persons, during the investigation more material evidence was secured for the involvement of the persons in the street sale of cocaine, amphetamine and marijuana.
According to the Ministry of the Interior, criminal charges have already been filed against two people and a measure of detention has been determined, and a Honda motorcycle was seized, as well as a Ford Mondeo passenger vehicle, for which evidence was provided that it was used for the sale of cocaine.
