Macedonian representative Ohrid will travel to the second leg of the 3rd round of the EHF European Cup with a convincing advantage after defeating Sloga Doboj 37:19 (16:8) in the first match at home tonight.
From the very beginning of the match, the Ohrid team showed that they were determined to achieve a convincing victory. The Macedonian team quickly reached a 5-goal difference, and by the end of the first half the advantage was +8 (16:8). At the beginning of the second half there was a slight crisis in the game of Ohrid, but the visiting handball players did not take advantage of it. From the middle of the second half, Ohrid made a series of 13-3 from 24:16.
The most efficient players for Ohrid were Darko Djukic and Stefan Petric with goals each, as many as Todor Milisavljevic scored for Sloga Doboj. The best individual of the match was Ohrid goalkeeper Kristijan Pilpiovic with 19 saves (11 in the first half).
The return match will be played on November 22nd.
