For children to respect each other, for there to be no discrimination and violent communication, for love and tolerance to prevail, and for society to make it possible for them, is the motto of this year's traditional Christmas lunch intended for about 500 children from all over Macedonia, who belong to the vulnerable categories .
" We have guests from Skopje, Tetovo, Shtip, Strumica, Ohrid, Bitola. The children are happy, we are happy as an organization that this tradition continues with the hope that this year will be even happier for us, and we leave the bad moments behind us ," said Aleksandra Severkoska - Stojanoski, executive director of the Children's Embassy "For All the Children of the World".
"And God himself was first a child, and only then became a man. That is why children are especially dear to God. Because of their purity, honesty and philanthropy. Therefore, we should learn from the children," said Metropolitan Petar, blessing the common holiday table.
" Truly, Christmas is not like it without children, especially if Christ the Savior, the Son of God, who out of great love for the human race, wanted to become a man to save mankind, but He could not become a man without becoming the first child. And precisely for this reason He was born from the womb of the Most Holy Theotokos and lived with people and taught them how and what to believe, and He also showed us that if we are not like these children, innocent, we will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven," said Metropolitan Peter.
The local self-government from Prilep supported this festive, God-pleasing act with a donation of 500 cookies, which were distributed to the small guests present by the mayor, Borce Jovceski.
" It remains for us to congratulate them and wish that joy, good mood and happiness reign in their families this year as well," said Borce Jovcheski, Mayor of Prilep.
" Every year we try to be more active so that more people are involved so that they understand that there are more categories of people and until we accept all categories, we are not people ," says Iva Parapanski from the Student Parliament at the "Mirce Acev" High School - Prilep.
The Christmas lunch was organized this year for the 17th time, and the organizer is DA "For all the children of the world", supported by numerous sponsors and companies. This year, the highest international recognition "Ordered as a bearer of peace" was awarded to the "Kromberg & Schubert" Company from Bitola.
