Portugal are in the Nations League finals. Tonight in Munich at the Allianz Arena, Ronaldo and his team celebrated a 2-1 victory over Germany after the "panzers" led 1-0 with a goal from Wirz in the 48th minute.
Then the Portuguese played excellently and with goals from Conceicao and Ronaldo, in just five minutes, in the 63rd and 68th minutes, they made a turnaround and came to victory.
This was Ronaldo's 220th appearance for Portugal and 137th goal. Interestingly, Portugal beat Germany after 25 years, when in 2000 Sergio Conceicao scored three goals, so tonight his son scored against the Germans.
Speaking of numbers, let's say that this was captain Joshua Kimmich's 100th match for Germany.
A nice, quality match at the "Allianz Arena", which was delayed by a few minutes due to heavy rain and hail falling in Munich. In the first phase of the match, the home team was better, they had chances for the lead, especially Goretzka's, but the break ended with the score at 0:0.
But in the second half, the match literally opened up, with both teams picking up the pace. First, Wirtz scored for 1:0, and then the Portuguese came back with two goals, through Conceicao and Ronaldo.
The second semi-final will be played tomorrow in Stuttgart, between France and Spain. It will be a duel between the current world vice-champion and the European champion.
