Macedonians in Bulgaria were again victims of violence, where the newly established club from Blagoevgrad - "Nikola Vaptsarov" was smashed!
We demand that President Stevo Pendarovski and Minister Bujar Osmani immediately condemn this violent act and use all forms of pressure on the Bulgarian authorities to uncover the perpetrators of this heinous act - just as they expressly condemned the destruction of the fascist club in Ohrid, the party statement of the Levitsa party states.
"We demand that a note of protest be immediately handed to the Bulgarian ambassador in Skopje - Angel Angelov, after the same reciprocity as the official Sofia handed a note to the Macedonian ambassador after the violation of the club in Ohrid. No commissions, no agreements on good neighborliness can protect them the Macedonian national interests from the Great Bulgarian policy, which has not changed since the time of Todor Zivkov! For these reasons, the Left continuously warns that the only solution that guarantees the state's interests from the aggressive policy of Bulgaria is the abolition of the Historical Commission. Macedonians in Bulgaria have been under systematic repression, threats, attacks and torture for decades, while the law enforcement authorities have not sanctioned either a thug. Unlike the Bulgarian clubs, which glorify the most vile fascist bloodsuckers, the Macedonians in Bulgaria celebrate the work of one of the most prominent anti-fascist actors and poets, Nikola Vaptsarov," reads the Left's party statement.
The organization of Macedonians in Bulgaria OMO Ilinden Pirin asked the local police to investigate the case of breaking the glass of the Macedonian club in Blagoevgrad.
