KUD "Pearl" Kichevo at an international festival in Turkey

Cultural and artistic society "Pearl" from Kicevo recently participated in the traditional dance and song festival "Yalova-2023" in Turkey.

In addition to the Biser dancers, companies from BiH, Indonesia, Mexico, Georgia, India and the host country Turkey took part in the festival.

The attendance at the festival was extremely high, and the parade of the festival participants was followed by the presence of thousands of residents from the host city.

- For the first time "Pearl" Kichevo performed at the International Folklore Festival "Yalova-2023" in Turkey. Folk ensembles and groups from three continents took part in the festival. First, a parade and presentation of the companies was organized, and then there was a competition and evaluation of games and costumes. In addition to these contents, traditional food and drinks were also presented on the second day.

In the three days we enjoyed the wonderful performances and the captivating color of the costumes of the participants from Turkey, Macedonia, Mexico, Georgia, BiH, Indonesia and India, who left deep traces in the world's cultural treasury. Despite the impeccable performances of the rest of the participants of the festival, "Biser" still gathered the applause on the final evening and was greeted with cheers for the "Poselje" ordeal - said the president of the company Mladen Vanchoski.
