The former Minister of Internal Affairs, Gordana Jankuloska, in an interview for "360 Degrees" recorded during her last legally permitted leave from "Idrizovo", where she has already spent three years of her four-year prison sentence for the "Tank" case, said that her last communication with former Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski who escaped to Hungary, it was a week before he left Macedonia.
She says she has no problem meeting anyone, but she doesn't know if he would want to meet her, adding that even if she did, she wouldn't have anything to talk about with him.
- I don't know if Gruevski would be interested in meeting with me. I have no problem meeting with anyone, but my last communication with Gruevski was a week before he left Macedonia. Since then we have had absolutely no contact and I don't see what we would discuss if we met. The fact is that he was a victim of political persecution, but the step he took, leaving the country, changed the dynamics of our persecution, and I don't approve of that step, either then or now - said Jankuloska.
The current leadership of VMRO-DPMNE was legitimately elected and supported at a party congress, so it has my full support, says the former Minister of Internal Affairs, Gordana Jankuloska, in an interview for "360 degrees", when asked about her position on the clash between the current and former leader of the party, Hristijan Mickoski and Nikola Gruevski.
She says that her contacts with the outside world have been completely eliminated and it can hardly be said that she communicates with former colleagues, except for Mile Janakievski, with whom she remained in closest contact.
- With some of the colleagues, when there was an opportunity, we have seen each other, we have talked. I can say that I remained in the closest contact with Mile Janakieski, even though his conditions have changed and communication is significantly more difficult. We are not in the same prison, but even if we were, the men's and women's prisons are totally separated and we have no communication at all - says the former head of the police.
They had no contact at all with the former finance minister Zoran Stavreski for the past few years.
In prison, she says, she misses her family the most, and the hardest thing for her is being physically separated from her son.
– In this whole situation, that is the hardest part and not only for me, because right, as an adult you always try to understand the situation and find some explanation even when there is none. He recently turned five and this whole situation is hard to explain to him. Practically, he was left alone – without a mother, only with his father, at the age of two years and three months. I recently had the opportunity to go out for the first time and it's really difficult - says Jankuloska and points out that her husband regularly brought her son to visit, which means meetings three times a month for an hour each.
