Volkanovski before a historic opportunity

The Australian with Macedonian origin, Aleksandar Volkanovski has 25 wins and only 2 losses in his UFC career so far. This coming weekend, he will have the opportunity to confirm his status as the best featherweight UFC fighter in history.

Alex, after the excursion and adventure in a higher category, has now returned to his category in which he was the absolute champion five times. On Saturday, at the new UFC 290 event, the occasional champion who "grabbed" the championship belt in Volkanovski's absence, Yair Rodriguez, is waiting.

Volkanovski has 25 wins in 27 MMA fights and suffered both defeats in higher categories, outside of his favorite. In his last fight, he controversially lost on points to Islam Makhachev in February of this year.

In July of last year, "The Wolf" was declared the winner of the fight with Max Holloway by a unanimous decision of the judges to defend the belt in the "featherweight" category.

Now a new challenge awaits him, against the younger, 30-year-old Mexican.
