Barcelona's players are the old-new champions of Spain. The Catalan team achieved the new title in the best possible way.
In the popular "El Clasico" played at the "Camp Nou", Barcelona defeated bitter rival Real Madrid 2-0.
The home team did all the work in the first half. In the ninth minute, Marcus Rashford gave Barca the lead with a spectacular free kick.
Barcelona fans didn't have to wait long for new joy. It was the 18th minute when Ferran Torres also effectively beat Courtois for the second time, for a 2-0 lead.
Barcelona dominated throughout the match, and Real was simply far from famous. The "Kings" may even be "lucky" that they lost "only" by two points in the end.
With this victory, and with three rounds remaining in the championship, Barcelona has an unattainable 14-point lead over Real, who are in second place.
This is Barcelona's 28th La Liga title. However, Real Madrid is by far the all-time leader with 36 trophies.
