This publication tittled “Monograph Goyko Jakovleski” is ded icated to the virtuous Macedo nian, businessman, prominent humanist and proven donor, spiritual devotee and proud member of his Biblical origin and Macedonian country, Goyko Yakovleski, alias Goyko Delchev Rafkin – Gotse of Macedonia. He is a well-known political immigrant who has lived in Germany, in the city of Berlin, for many years.

A name that is well known, recognized, esteemed and respected in a number of fields and affirmed for decades in the Macedonian community in Berlin, in Germany and be yond. Goyko is a fighter for autonomous, independent and united ethnic Macedo nia, as well as for the unification of the Macedonian people.

However, the authority of Gotse of Macedonia among the emigration in West Germany and wider in Europe was undisputed and undivided. He was a powerful man in the shadow, or in other words, an non-crowned leader of Macedonian emigration in Europe.

He achieved this through his constant quiet and unobtru sive activity, and mutual contacts, which he had with the leadership of DOOM re gardless of the individuals who were frac tionally divided within that organization. Gotse of Macedonia was the pillar of the organization. His advises were welcomed in the organization and always imple mented.

In March 1993, with the foundation of the Initiative Board for establishment of the Macedonian Orthodox Church “St. Clement of Ohrid” in West Berlin – Germany, the Holy Archbishop’ Synod unan imously confirmed and formalized the proposed composition, in which Goyko Yakovleski (Gotse of Macedonia) would be the President.

Then, on January 27, 2002, at the Annual Assembly, on the propos al of the diocese’s bishop His Highness Gorazd, Goyko Yakovleski was accepted by acclamation as lifelong president of the Church of “St. Clement of Ohrid” in Berlin.

Berlin

Goyko Yakovleski was also a member of the Football Club “Macedonia” from Berlin since January 1, 1974, with which Goyko continued his sports activity he practiced as a student at the “Hajduk”, a club from Zubovce. In Berlin, his finan cial status enabled him to donate funds and help two Macedonian football clubs “Macedonia” and “Ilinden”, as well as other Macedonian associations, organizations and individuals.

On July 7, 1976, the Organizing Commit tee of the United Macedonians in West Berlin headed by Gotse of Macedonia sent an invitation to all Macedonians living in West Germany at that time. In that in vitation, the Board invited them on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the Macedonian national holiday “Ilinden”, organized by KUD “Vardar” and the foot ball clubs: “Ilinden 1903” and “Macedonia” from West Berlin, to attend the festive celebration held on August 1 of the same year.

Gotse of Macedonia is one of the found ers of the political party VMRO DPMNE. Namely, in April 1990, Bogdanovski came to Berlin, where, with Gotse of Macedo nia, his brother Manoil Yakovleski-Mane and Stevo Donevski-the Mother, held the first consultative meeting in the restau rant “New Skopje” for the establishment of the DPMNE (Democratic Party for Mac edonian National Unity) in the Republic of Macedonia.

The same year, on June 17, the respect ed and honored for Macedonia, one of the founders of DPMNE – Goyko Yakovleski, alias Goyko Delchev Rafkin – Gotse of Macedonia addressed at the solemn as sembly held in the “25 May” Youth House in Skopje when the party was named VM RO-DPMNE (Internal Macedonian Revo lutionary Organization – Democratic Par ty for Macedonian National Unity).

It is often said that Macedonia’s long existence seems to resemble a long, rare and almost incredible story, set in the an nals of uniqueness and immortality. Ex amples are rare in the history, not only in Polog, but throughout ethnic Macedonia, for such a perseverance of a people that has gone through such turbulent ampli tudes over the centuries, such is the ex ample of people from Zubovce. Delchev Rafkin emphasizes his Macedonian origin and Macedonian roots everywhere, and he does so with great love and permanent loyalty to his father land. He does this for his most beautiful Biblical country in the Balkans, located in the southern part of the European conti nent, Macedonia.
